The Strandfontein Mosque Community forms about 10% of the population of Strandfontein.

The Mosque has a full-time Quran memorization class, classes for learners after regular school and night classes mainly for adults.

The Mosque also runs a Baytul Maal that sees to the needs

of unemployed members.

The Mosque runs a nursery school working for parents.

Jumu'ah at the Mosque sees many visiting lecturers.

Regular fundraising and coordinating all the working committees is the function of the 2 year elected Strandfontein Islamic Assembly, called The SIA.
