The purpose is to ensure security, comfort and compassionate care for elderly ladies. It remains based on Christian principles, ensuring that our elderly citizens feel valued, are well looked after, both mentally and physically and continue to enjoy their lives.
In 1876, a group of concerned Christians of all denominations established the Ladies' Christian Home in Wandel Street, central Cape Town.
We are a home for the aged run by Christians for ladies, offering compassionate care rather than selling accommodation. We also offer Temporary Care.
A factor is voluntary service and the continued involvement of the churches, business and the professions in our service to the community - so that we offer care rather than selling accommodation.
