The name of the Masjid is al-Masjid al-Munowar and is situated at 34 Concert Boulevard Retreat.

The organisation/committee who takes care of managing the Masjid’s affairs is called the Square Hill Islamic Educational Society.

The organisation is registered as a nonprofit organisation (NPO [040-928-NPO])

The Masjid’s aims and objectives are:

• To promote and nurture Islam in the community
• To establish institutions for the promotion, teaching and nurturing of Islam
• To assist those suffering injustice oppression and poverty

The organisation has created a Waqf al kyari (welfare – benefit for the Muslim Ummah) and has ceded Erf 83479 situated on Concert Boulevard Retreat, on which the Masjid as well as its contents, fixtures and fittings has been built, for the Muslim Ummah as said Waqf. The purpose of this Waqf is place of worship i.e. Masjid.

The Masjid is open to all members of the Ahlu al-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah, Muslim Ummah.
