Hellenic Football Club was an institution in the Cape Town football community. Nicknamed the Greek Gods, Hellenic was probably most successful in the 1970s, with the great rivalry between them and Cape Town City attracting substantial crowds to the old Green Point and Hartleyvale Stadiums in Cape Town. This legacy continued through the decades where the club was a continuous feature in South African football having the title of Cape Town’s most prestigious club. |
